| Indestructible! This has saved my iPod numerous times from falls. It has a great feeling, easy to use the touch wheel. The only shortcoming is the case is thick so the earphone jack doesn't always get full contact. I can easily live with this flaw since the benefits of the case for exceed this one shortcoming. |
This is probably the best iPod case that I have owned. By far, the most intelligent design is the belt clip itself which features a rather clever plastic locking mechanism that is easy to lock/unlock yet rugged enough to stand up to day-to-day use.
The case itself is made of thick silicone, but with pores on the back of the iPod for heat dissipation. While I can't comment on whether or not the pores actually work to the degree as advertised, I do have to admit that it's a testament to the designers who clearly understand the operational characteristics of the iPod itself; having an iPod overheat is NOT a good thing for the unit and the battery.
The screen protector is probably the best fit that I have ever seen in a case which utilizes a built-in silicone lip on the case itself and uses a raised silicone nub to keep it from sliding around. It's scratch resistant, so I'm hoping that it will have a longer life then the Belkin case that I had which experienced a scratch on day one.
Only 2 minor complaints:
1. The entire case covers the iPod (except for the small pores on the back) including a flap that covers the docking port. The iSkin website advertises that it can fit in the Apple Universal dock. This is true, but I found that it works only if you remove the 5th generation template (in the universal dock) for the 80 GB iPod AND if you tuck the sleeve back into the case. IT STILL WORKS, but I was hoping that it would be a little easier than this.
2. The hold button is completely covered. It is still usable as there is a raised protrusion for using the hold button, but it's a little finicky at first. Once you get the hang of placing the right pressure through the silicone, it's fairly easy to use it from that point forward.
All in all, a good case with some minor issues. I would highly recommend it. |
This product is truly amazing! It covers the entire ipod! I don't have to worry about anything getting scratched at all. I was getting maitanance on my ipod one day, and the Geek Squad member told me that the condition of my ipod was "pristine". He was amazed. This case, unlike many silicone cases, doesn't collect lint. The click wheel cover does a tiny little bit, but it is easy to wipe off. I think this is because of the unique texture of the silicone.
I only have two things I don't like about it - it is rather bulky with the plastic clip. I can't put it in the pocket of my jeans without the ipod sticking out. However, I have heard that the clip MAY be removeable (although this may be on the newer models). Also, the case is a bit hard to put on, but it makes me feel secure about the dust protection.
The color of the iSkin in the picture represents the real color very well. The case really does look like that. |
| Just got my new ISKIN and I love it. Such a cool bright color and the skin is very functional and provides excellent protection. I previously had a clear hard case and it scratched too easily and I had to always take it out of the case to do recharge, listen through my stereo, etc. With the ISKIN, the hard plate cover is an excellent added feature and the skin itself fits nice and snug. A much better buy, wish I got this the first time around and didn't waste my $$$ on the hard case. |
| I love the eVo3. It's such a snug fit, very attractive, and protects my iPod's screen as well as the wheel. The color is deep pink - not pale like the name "Blush" implies. I love the vibrant pink. The skin is substantial in quality, but doesn't add bulk. I have no worries about scratching the screen of my iPod or an accidental drop with this rubber protection in place. One of the first people I showed this skin to has already ordered one for her own iPod. |
